Steps To Making The Best Finger Jello
Making Finger Jello is fairly easy and simple. Just follow the steps below to find yourself with some colorful, sweet and jiggly dessert!
Step 1: Grab a large mixing bowl. I like to use a bowl that is large enough to not splatter stray splashes when mixing, and from which I can easily pour the mixture later into molds.
Step 2: Add the jello and unflavoured gelatin into the bowl, and give the dry ingredients and quick mix.
Step 3: Gently add the boiling water and start to combine. You want to make sure that there are no foams on top of the mixture. To make sure everything is dissolved and combined, gently whisk or stir continuously.
Since the water is boiling hot, you don’t need to whisk the mixture too aggressively.
Step 4: Once everything is well combined, pour this mixture into a 9×9 baking dish. If you have cute shape molds, you could also use them to make your jello look more fun.
Make sure to cover your jello mixture with a lid or plastic wrap. If you don’t cover your jello, chances are it will take in the taste and smell of other items in your fridge.
Step 5: Once when you’re done transferring your jello mix into the mold of your choice. Refrigerate it until it is firm and set. If you use the baking dish, make sure to cut your jello into bite sized pieces.
How Should You Serve Finger Jello?
You can have finger jello as it is, the perfect snack. However, if you want to try something wild, you can do what I do. Use Vanilla Ice Cream. Yes you heard that right, ice cream and jello are a fun combo. The cold ice cream gives the jello a slightly crunchy texture.
There is also a new trend of combining Jello with the mexican Tahin and Chamoy, and it makes for a great tangy and spicy snack!
Conclusion
So there you have it! Easy to make and delicious to have Finger Jello is now done. Have it as a snack or make it during one of the big family events, or simply make it for yourself. Whichever way you like it, this is a fun dessert to have and is not a lot of calories as well!
