Strike Your Health While the Iron Is Hot. Your Body Will Love You

Health is a matter of importance for everyone. To this day, we cannot simply stand back and let our health be ruined.

Many factors are involved affecting our health on multiple levels. We might think it’s hard to manage our health.  And that it takes too much work and effort on our part. After all, Rome was not built in a day.

We just have to put a little bit of effort and manage our time. We make time for things that we think are important. So why not make taking care of our health the most important event? Making it our priority might just be the answer to a healthy body.

Remember, health is not something to be taken lightly.

Being fit doesn't mean being healthy or that you are in perfect health. When you introduce a nutritious diet in your life, it’s the first step towards a healthy attitude. So, you need to take measures for a healthy body and a healthy lifestyle. 

 

 

  • It’s all about nutrition in taking care of your health

The first step in being healthy is to change your eating habits. You need to rethink a lot of your dietary decisions (by a lot, I mean all of them).

“I like junk”, Scratch that.

It’s only natural that we love fried food. it’s easy to make and available everywhere but is it really what your body needs? no, it can survive without junk food but cannot survive without healthy organs.

Understand this, “Heath is nothing without nutrition”

So, replace burgers and pizza and add healthy food in your cart when you are grocery shopping. I am not saying don't eat any other stuff but let's cut down on it. Shall we?

  • Would you like some breakfast? Yes, please!

Have you heard someone telling you that, ‘breakfast is the most important meal of the day?’

If you have, well you are in the right place, my friend! Breakfast is indeed the most important time and meal of your whole day.

I used to skip breakfast very often. But whenever I did eat breakfast, I found myself surprisingly up for almost any task of the day. It keeps your metabolism running on high speed, and keeps you energetic all day long.

Your breakfast can be as heavy or as the light you want. You have complete reign on it (that’s the best part for me!)

You will not underperform or suddenly gain some weight if you skip breakfast. But it will give you the extra push that you often need to skim through your day.

And honestly, who would mind the yummy, spicy and hot shakshuka in the morning?

I know I certainly won’t!

  • Balance your portions and increase the number of meals

If you know when, how, and what you need to eat. You are set for the day.

But for those people, who work daily, it's difficult to set a time for every meal. Sometimes we forget or are so busy at work that there is just no time for us to eat.

And if we do what do we eat? A power bar, or something that could satiate the hunger instantly. And takes the least amount of time.

See, where I am going with this?

Studies have shown that instead of having only 3 meals, we can divide our meals into 5 or 6 short meals. This way we get to eat every few hours. Without the fuss of only having 3 meals or in most cases 2.

We can add snacks as a meal or fruit or shakes. So, there are plenty of options available.

  • Check your food style

Eat what you love. There is no point in eating something that does not ring true to you. So, satisfy your cravings with nutrient-dense food. And cut down on the calorie-dense food.

Being healthy is not about losing weight. It’s knowing what’s good for your body and what is not for example; eat complex carbs, go for a piece of fish or lean meat.

A healthy approach to eating is centered on savoring flavor, eating to satisfaction, and increasing energy, rather than focusing on weight. So, get pleasure from your meals. And savor and enhance your nutritional knowledge. Healthy can be delicious as well.

  • Sleep the lethargy away

Your body needs sleep like it needs nutrition. Sleep is an integral part of staying healthy. Consequently, you cannot achieve a stable healthy life if you slack on sleep.

A minimum of 5-6 hours of sleep is required for an adult. After a good night's rest, your mind will be relaxed and you will be more focused.

Got trouble sleeping? Try a little meditation or yoga beforehand or drink warm milk. Some people often use scents that relax their senses. For instance, the scent of lavender is particularly inviting and soothing.

  • Hello, positive thoughts!

Do you want to be healthy? Then keep the negativity away from your mind. It's crucial for your health that you focus on the positive. Learn to love yourself. Be kind to yourself.

You will be able to see the change in your appearance right away. Your body will start glowing. And instead of having a rigid posture, you will appear approachable and positively radiant.

  • Don’t forget to exercise

Do you want to eat carbs? That's fine! But do you want to look good as well? And stay healthy?

Well, then you have to have a workout schedule prepared for yourself.

  • You can walk daily for 15-20 min. And then gradually increase the time and your pace
  • Workout at least 3-4 times a week. Try cycling, running, and aerobics. Or if you like Pilates will work as well
  • Stretch before you do any kind of workout. This way you will prevent yourself from getting muscle cramps

 

 

Being of sound mind and health does wonders for your body. It is important to remember that your health is the reason that you are standing up right now. Without it, you might not even be able to accomplish anything.
