Our body is a great many things. It’s a live example of what “nutrition” looks like in a physical form. It holds secrets even beyond our imagination. Scientists have been trying for many decades to unveil the mystery of the human body, but there is a lot more to discover and more clues to unveil the products of adamantiakotsampasi.gr.
For us to understand our body better, we need to provide it with the basic elements that will nurture it. Therefore, the term Nutrition itself means ‘to nurture, to feed, to nourish'.
Nutrition philosophy is straightforward: Eat what will nourish your body. But our question still stands: what exactly is nutrition and how can we introduce it in our lives?
WHAT IS MEANT BY NUTRITION?
Nutrition has had a much shorter life than other sciences. But it does not mean that it is not vast or lacks sufficient knowledge.
It comprises of the diet/food that we need to consume daily for optimal functioning of our bodies. Now your brain will give sly excuses to eat whatever you want and whenever you want. On a basic note its just calories, right?
Well, hold that thought right there!
A nutritious meal consists of the right balance between the three macronutrients:
- Carbohydrates
- Proteins
- Fats
Not all carbs are good and not all fat is bad. The same goes for proteins.
“Treat your body like a temple, keep it clean, healthy and pure as much as you can”
Moreover, when you make plans to go out to meet with your friends, or head out for your office, and just about anywhere; you want to look the best. You dress to impress and want to make a lasting impression, Right? so why not do the same with your health too?
Similarly, nutrition is the beauty of your internal body and mind. It makes you feel good, and more importantly right. The relationship that develops between your body and mind via nutrition lasts for a very very long time. No exaggeration!
THE GOAL BEHIND NUTRITION IS TO ADD SALT AND SEASONING IN YOUR LIFE
It’s not just about nutrition, it’s about “good” nutrition. Whatever you consume, its effects are shown on your body clear as day.
The main question is: what is the end-goal of nutrition? To be frank, there is no specific end-goal. It’s an everlasting cycle with different pit stops. The nutritional goals vary from one person to another, so it suffices to say, it all depends on your eating pattern.
So always have an objective in mind regarding your nutritious meals.
Introducing nutrition in your life today doesn’t have to be a long, pretentious cycle of how’s and what’s and if’s. It shouldn’t worry you. It's as simple as eating fruits but in the right amount.
SAY HELLO TO MACRONUTRIENTS!
Macro comes from the Greek word ‘makros’ meaning long or large.
These are the nutrients that are required in a large amount in our food. There are 3 basic macronutrients which are divided into different ratios in order of their consumption
- Carbohydrates: 50% of the diet
- Proteins: 20% of the diet
- Fats: 30% of the diet
These three are the basic binding components of every food. So, you need to remember that the ratios mentioned do differ in different body types but these are the average ratios that normally work for people.
Each macronutrient has a different function in the body. You cannot skip one to jump on the next one. You need to find the right balance that works for your body. No one can know the right fit for their bodies except themselves.
Once you decide to incorporate nutrition the right way in your life, you wouldn't want to go back. It's a different kind of satisfaction associated with eating right.
The first time I tried it, it was scary, I was hesitant and that was way before I even knew I wanted to study nutrition. But once I started eating right, it was as if something clicked in my mind. It took me a long time to find the right balance of nutrients for me. But one thing I can totally say is that it was worth every minute!

Be Smart, Eat Smart
Nutrition leaves a bigger impact on our lives than we can ever imagine. However, the first thing you need to do is learn your body. Knowing something is different from trying it and unless you try an eating regime you can never feel the difference if you don't try the right combination.
So, you don’t have to start big, start small, and work yourself up the nutrition ladder. Because this decision is the only one standing between you and the future you. So, what do you think? Do you have enough gut to chuck out the greasy burger and put a plate of healthy greens and protein?
If so, then my friend, Happy Eating!
